KID smART
KID smART programs focus on arts integration, a methodology and a philosophical approach to education based in scientific research, through which the arts are linked with existing, standards-based curriculum. The arts teach to the whole child, supporting academic achievement while developing students’ creativity. The arts also give children who are not succeeding in a traditional classroom setting access to success. To make learning come alive for children, KID smART places artists in the classroom and provides arts integration professional development for classroom teachers.
